TOP STORIESWe understand E&Y is hiring 30 people for its financial services arm29 October 2009By Sarah Butcher COMMENTSWhat basis is there for saying they don't pay very well at all? Read all comments »It has come to our attention that Ernst & Young has biggish hiring plans for its financial services advisory arm.
Fresh from hiring Vincent Oratore from Banque AIG for its financial services tax practice, our source informs us that E&Y aspires to further expand its FS advisory headcount by 30 people.
A spokesperson for the company says E&Y’s advisory practice is engaged in “everything that’s not audit.” More specifically, this includes risk management, regulation, tax and other consulting services.
The new hires will apparently be business analysts, project managers, ex-operations, ex-risk people and consultants. They will not, unfortunately, be ex-corporate financiers or unemployed prop traders.
Initially the company is understood looking for senior executive to managerial level recruits.
