COMMENTSThe observer of many years, Equities, Fri 12 Jun 09Sorry...no one but no one speaks that many languages fluently. Fluent means fluent, i.e being able to read Tolstoy in Greek and Turkish translation at the same speed, pace and understanding as your mother tongue (let's presume english). Think about it...I can order coffee and talk about sex in most languages and put in buy- side trade order in Urdu if i have to. Now think about those Europeans you work with in your bank..that Spanish girl/bloke who professes to be bi-lingual (english/spanish) and indeed she may be..but look at the gormless expression and total blankness when she really needs to understand the lingo when it really matters. LMRushman33, Tue 16 Jun 09Your CV is very impressive, academically sound, though the guys do have a valid point about you not capitalising on your intern's. Why do you think you didnt take advantage of these stone wall opportuinities? That would be the question in the back of my mind! Stick at it though, you definitely look a strong contender on paper. Good luck and let us know how you get on. L Add your comment »UNEMPLOYED, Private Banking / Wealth Management, Thu 25 Jun 09i always find these cv review pages very amusing. There is an obvious contrast between those offering constructive criticism & advice & those who are clearly either jealous that they don't have such a well rounded cv & have fluked their way into decent roles or those that are just bored & rude! Add your comment »AlexCM, Thu 25 Jun 09Hey everyone, got a FO job the other day. Id like to thank everyone and wish you all the best. To those who don' t have a job yet, believe in yourself and it will happen. Add your comment »Jac, Student, Tue 13 Oct 09well please stop asking why he did not get a job after his interns. Do you know how many graduates in France after x interns they just can't get anything ? here you have to choose between intern or unemployment ! Add your comment » |
