Not much wrong with the cv but does lack some more impact statements to really aim to stand out in this market to show you are credible and back up your intro statement.

- Liaised with company account managers in preparing performance reports.....did you suggest any changes/make any positive impact in this?
· Compiled data regarding client accounts such as bank statements and loan agreements to create spreadsheets that managed the general ledger and ensured accuracy of the balance....did this speed up the procees/create a new process that saved $$s?

· Prepared analytical report examining the performance and volatility of all the firm’s products, comprising equity-linked, fixed income and foreign exchange strategies....what was the report used for, where there recommendations you made?
· Participated in staff sales meetings and introduced a product in one of them...what happened to the product? DId you launch it, was it a success?
· Reclassified the company's database to reveal products by category such as asset class and streamlined the search process....did this save $$$s/time? Why did you do this?

@winta - Just to let you know that the original formatting is sadly lost when we load the CV onto our system. Any formatting deficiencies are therefore our fault, not the fault of the CV's owner.

Because it's not really credible! Is there something that can't do?

This discussion board is to provide positive criticism people. some of the comments presented to this candidate are extremely rude. It would be nice if we helped each other or provided guidance instead of tearing the person apart.

grow up people!

Not much really wrong with your cv apart from a lack of experience. Too many people out there at the moment (in your position) with more experience and more contacts. In this market that counts for a lot! I had an intern recently in a similar position, and even though he was a good candidate, we couldn't do anything for him because we knew of the impending redundancies. Keep on pushing and prepare to be resilient.

Ignore the negative comments posted and focus on the positives.

If you're a positive thinker, positive things will happen.

"I would remove the mention of having an interest in football, which is a sport associated with the working class and yobbish behaviour."

LOL @ the above quote.

You have a pretty good CV but it's a tough market.  The question arises as to why your internships didn't turn into offers.  And why the second internship was Big 4 and not IB.  Overall the CV lacks impact - just a list of job functions in each role.  Try to sell yourself a bit more.

The Big 4 experience makes no sense - are you trying to say you audited balances on client's ledgers? The third point - I am guessing you are trying to say you were working on a group audit and so reported subsidiary numbers back to the group level audit team?? The description here is very very vague. In my area (M&A) there are senior guys who were once accountants (like me) who will know exactly what it involves. Your description of your duties seems like you didn't understand it properly... be more precise and show how you added value on the engagements.

I can't comment on your derivatives role - not a markets guy.

I would agree with the previous comment, two internships yet no offer? But the real key is where is the IB internship?
